    The worst thing about it for the lads that done the heist is that they probably wont be able to use the money - notes with the serial numbers will be traced etc.

    The report I saw said that only about half of the notes were new, meaning that they have the serial numnbers, the rest were all used notes on there way back to the bank for burning so they won't have any way of tracing them when they re enter circulation. They cannot go and re-design all the current bank notes either like they did after the £20 million that was nicked from the north as the total number of notes in circulation is somewhat larger.
