    Just wondering how long a break can you take before you start to lose muscle?

    my mate says anything over a week, any truth in this?

    As far as i can tell, as long as you are taking in a steady stream of amino acids then you should be able to go some time before muscle loss becomes anyway dramatic.

    Obviously, if you go a long time without working out your body will no longer have a need for larger muscles and will not keep them, but you can easily go a week and no suffer any loss in mass or strenght.

    I reckon. I'm sure people here can offer a more detailed answer.
