Samsung Digital SLR Price ?

    Hi All Ive been in the market for a Good Priced Digital SLR cheapest Ive found was Nikon D50 at 749.00 euro.
    Ive been doing a bit of Reserch & I see Samsung are to bring a Digital SLR the Samsung GX1s is basicly the Pentax istD Hopefuly half the price that was. any one know How much this is going to cost or any other idears of a Digital SLR I can get for a decnet Price

    Canon EOS 300D with 18-55 f3.5 EF-S lens. Savage camera and is only one notch down from the 350D / 10D.

    I could request this stickied at this stage...

    720 euro from the Apple store for the D50 kit and 1GB SD card.

    Alternatively, ac-foto.de 699, 100 euro rebate making it 599 and then you've to add delivery and an SD card.

    I wouldn't imagine the GX1s will be all that cheap. As far as I know it's not the old istD, it's a new version for Europe and Pentax have brought it out as a different model.

    I'm afraid a cheap, new dSLR is somewhat of a pipedream. I still like the 720 deal from Apple though the AC-Foto one is probably slightly better.

    Aside from that, e-bay/second hand is probably your best bet.

    You should be able to find a Canon EOS 300D for less than that somewhere... and the Canon would be superior to the Samsung, there's far more lenses and other acessories available for the Canon should you wish to upgrade to a different body later. Same goes for Nikon D50, I think they sell for about the same price.

    After all the reserch I have done I think The Nikon D50 is best offer. aparently Samsung want about 900 euro for the Gx1s
    which is not great as its branded a SAMSUNG. as most samsung cameras are cheap to buy. I don't think It will sell at that price with a camera like the D50 on the Market for 720
