Soya protein and spots?

Is there a link to taking soya protein and spots? Have been taking some to supplement my diet over the last while and have noticed an increase in spots on my face but i dont know whether it is down to the soya? Anyone any ideas??

What kind of product are you using? If there is any sweetner or additives involved they could be causing the problem.

From what I understand about soy, is that it is fattening, and this is due to its estrogen producing qualities. So depending on how much you are taking it could be imbalancing your hormones and the reaction is showing in your skin.

You have to be careful with soy.

i take soy protein, lots, regularly.
No probs, still regard myself as manly lol
never caused outbreak of spots etc

I've had a look around and there does seem to be a tentative link between soy allergies and outbreaks of acne.

but otherwise it doesn't seem to aggrevate/ cause acne.
