    If you were to check and he pushed, would you call?.
    If so then you might as well push first yourself.
    Theres 2100 in the pot, and the hand will cost you 550 more (battles remaining stack). Personally I think you are ahead here about 30% of the time ( unf are behind 70%) as its a $5 STT. Plenty of hands you beat will call you (AT,A9, A8, KTs). I've seen people show AKs in these showdowns.
    Push, and be ready to hone your short stack game.

    If you push he cant bluff, and he is unlikely to call with a hand that you beat. Check calling or check folding is better, depending on the player

    he turns over KJ...ah well

    thankfully that hand turned me into a rock and when I did raise or even call, it was fairly easy to bully people off the pot
