    Comma, question mark and not counting the words you missed, perhaps. What's your budget?

    Why do you want a joystick?

    I assure you, you can pilot anything perfectly with a keyboard an mouse.

    Well, I don't know about jets that much, but chopper's certainly.

    I'd check the readme file to see if there's any joysticks recommended or ones with issues that you can steer clear of.

    Try using the arrow keys for a while rather than the mouse in jets.

    I use my DualShock2 to control planes but the joysticks on that are too small and gimmicky. When the action heats up I tend to spin outta control.

    Heres a nice one: Saitek Cyborg 3D Stick @ komplett. It has a twist handle for rudder control essential for helicopters some people would say. Its wirless but easy on the batteries. Only con is the price.

    Yeah they're surprisingly easy and effective (although I did play Jetfighter III years ago with nothing but a keyboard). It beats having to pick up your mouse and bring it to the other edge of your desk.

    "Sensitivity" :rolleyes:

    I pilot by making dozens of tiny movements. It works quite well. And the idea of using arrows when there's the option of using a mouse seems crazy.

    Have had nothing but bad experiences with saitek joysticks. If you can somehow get your hands on a microsoft sidwinder go for it. Either that or go for a logitech extreme 3d pro.

    Ok yea :D.... I have enough of school thank you.. I can fly the choppers with the keboard just not land and I can barely fly jets (well I can but not not fight in them lol) I would spend like €40 on a joystick..

    Stay away from the Saitek, it's probably like the wired version. That has serious drifting issues that seem to come and go, it can be a right pain when it happens...

    Oh for Christ's sake...

    Look. If you havn't learned how to land a chopper with mouse and keyboard yet then there's no point buying a joystick. It won't be some magic piece of technology that mystically makes choppers easy to fly, no matter what you use to fly them, it is hard, there is skill in it. Just keep practising, there are no shortcuts.

    AnCapaillMor have you ever actually used the Saitek Cyborg 3D Wireless Evo Stick? The wired version had drifting issues with the wireless one they sorted the problem. The Sidewinder FF2 gets a great review but it doesnt seem to have a twist handle? Correct me if i'm wrong. Check the logitech extreme 3d pro on amazon alot of peoples sticks seem to "wear out" due to faulty hard ware.

    Seems to be fixed in the wireless version. Has anyone ever actually used this stick reason I'm asking is I was going to buy one based on the great reviews I've read. If someone has links to bad reviews on this stick post them here, I might look into something else then.

    Nope did'nt try it, already got stung with 2 saiteks over the years, did'nt want to risk 3rd time unlucky.

    Well I use a Saitek CYBORG evo for jets and it works well for me no bother at all, there is no drift at all once you sort out your deadzone's on the stick - it's solid and smooth, i use mouse and keyboard for helo's though..
