    Hi there

Was thinking about a new camera, the one we have is a pocket digital, and was thinking about going up market.

Has anyone ever used this one or have any opinion on what I should get.

Our needs are currently, we have a new baby and you know what parents are like we will snap everything from a yawn to a sneeze and look back and go all gooey eyed.

The camera i was advised was the Fuji s5600.

Does this have an detachable lens, i think slr is the term to be using.

I know the posters here know there stuff so please advise a newbie

    Cheers

    Nanook

To be honest, if you dont know what you're really looking for, I doubt u need an SLR really.

The Fuji is an SLR-like camera,I think that would be better for you.

The fuji is a good camera , with a 10x zoom and a 5 megapixel sensor , it also takes video at 640 x 480 at 30 fps , meaning you can make good quality dvds out of the footage and all you need comes in the box , the camera is available online for a very reasonable €350 .

Considering the new baby and the snaps and video capability of the camera I would say that you cant go wrong.
Its an SLR style , which means you get the same shape and the viewfinder goes through the lens but the lens is fixed and cant be changed.
Dslrs do not do video though , so with the new baby an all this is definitely the best one stop shop if you want SLR style with DVD quality video !!

Heres a review , note that the camera is listed as S5200/5600
