OK, so your Lamborghini Gallardo from that site is going to run you €3,120 for a 2-day weekend including 250km absolutely free! Every additional km will be charged at €7.40 per km. The deductible (i.e. the excess) on the insurance is €69,000, which you will be paying if you wrap the car around a tree. Of course, for an additional €166 per day they will graciously reduce the excess down to a much more manageable €20,700...

Why do I get the suspicion that their real business is some sort of insurance scam? Wonder what the statistics are for newbies crashing supercars...

You should hear some of the figures that people are paying to insure WRC cars on Irish rallys these days. Makes that excess on the Lambo seem rather reasonable...

There is a guy renting a Triumph TR6 for a few days on ebay, ok not a super car but you'll have better fun than in a Opel Corsa rentacar you might end up in.
any good roads in the area..

There are some great roads in Italy and if your in a classic or super car the locals have a great appreciation that means you wont get the dirty looks or finger wagged for being a bit too enthusiastic while out enjoying yourself that you might get here.
