I actually can't believe that attitude

If that happened to me and the story was true i probable would feel sorry for the kid, but you d expect the parents to not have such an attitude problem

I'd personally ring and talk to the kid and tell him that he now has cancer. Since he no longer believes that the camera is good luck... re-start negotiations with the parents..

Thats just pure evil in fairness

Yeah, but a good kind of evilness. :)

And in a few years when the kid looks back and realises his parents bascially stole the camera he loves, will he learn his lesson on "the right thing to do" then? Fools.

    And even any monetary compensation.

I think the legal term for this is "Finders Keepers".

Although if this was my camera, I would find the family and start spiking the kids food with loads of sugar and wait for the funeral and then approach the parents about getting my camera back.

What a horrible turn of events, perhaps their son does have diabetes but thats no reason to keep the camera, reality check.

If she wasn't gonna return it, why did she report that she found it?

She was going to, but in the time between reporting it to the park ranger and the owner ringing her, little Jimmy became attached to it and mommy can't say no to letting little Jimmy have what he wants.

$500? F*ck that, I'd file a complaint. Bring them to court. They found it, admitted to having it, and then said that they wouldn't send it?

Hope they get their house robbed. T'would serve them right: karma strikes again:cool:

    Long?

It's, like, two scrolls of your mousewheel. The rest is feedback. It's actually pretty condensed as it is.

The rightful camera owner should play "Finders Keepers" with the kid - a less shall be learned all 'round.
