What are you're thoughts on this baby?

Apart from the headstock I'm crazy about it. Had my eye on the non-Floyd Rose model last year but went with a Jackson instead. That black cherry finish is a thing of beauty. Add the fact that it has the 81/85 set and an original floyd rose and I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had that money back!

You will love it to death, as I love my C1 Elite. The two are very similar in price and quality.

Chugs good heavy metal tones and yet can sing the blues as well.

24 frets, floyd rose, emgs, whats not to like..?

Aye schecters are fine guitars, well made, good fretting. If it wasnt for the finish on the back of the neck id think of getting one myself.

Guitar Center, just south of the Emerald Square Mall, North Attleboro, Massachusetts, USA.

Not sure what the best way to get them in Ould Oirland is, but I'm betting it's mail order or Ebay.

That's the C1 Plus, lists about $100.00 less than the Elite, but very similar. I'm betting it's just missing $100.00 worth of MoP binding, has the Duncan Designed pickups and the Grover hardware, so you're golden.

Yep Rustar your Elite is a beauty as well.
While we're on the subject of active pickups and the like, I'm thinking of replacing my passive EMG hz's with an 81 and an 85. Would this be something I could do myself? I'm a little confused as my Jackson DKMG has an 'afterburner' push-pull knob that adds 0-20db's of gain via a 9v battery. Would this have an effect on the new actives?

Jaysus, you won't need anything extra on top of an 81 or 85.

Schecters are amazing guitars for the money. I have a C7 blackjack, really really nice. I'm gassing over that FR model. They need to get a Floyd 7 in a C7 and soon :v:

:D Agreed, no I meant would the boost cause problems when installing the new pickups. And what would happen when the switch was on/off. I guess the wiring would be different so it might just render the afterburner inactive?

I dont know the answer to your question but the EMG site is pretty good and has lots of info on wiring, etc.
