2 Positions available - Account Executive & Junior Account Executive broadly as follows:

Account executive is an entry level position & would work on a team with an Account Manager & an Account Director.

Junior AEs can come in straight from college and in that instance we would look for all the personality traits that you would expect - hard working, energetic, clued in, ambitious etc.

The role can also be filled at an AE level - where perhaps someone has come from a different part of or indeed an entirely different the industry but who's job spec has given them certain skills that we would look for - e.g. event management, client liason skills etc

Finally someone can join as a Senior AE. Typically this is someone who already works as an AE in a different company for a year or so.

So it is a very broad spec that can suit a lot of people. The common thread is that they really must want to learn the Ageny Marketing business and be prepared to roll up their sleeves and get into the role.


approx €17,000 - €23 / 24,000 as a base guideline, depending on experience.

what i do want however is an actual job description. titles mean nothing, so any chance of putting up the description of what people actually do, apart from being dynamic and fast paced etc...?

The best way to describe the role is to elaborate on the info I gave to Magpie -

The Account Exec position in a company like ours is mainly a support role to the Ac Manager & Ac Director on the team.

So on a daily basis the types of things that a successfull candidate would be doing would include: dealing with our suppliers to get specs, quotes, to make sure that they are following the agreed timeplans that have been agreed with them. Making sure that all of the various aspects, required for the Marketing Plan we are implementing, are pulled together on-time & on-cost. This could include dealing with or managing the design, repro, print, promotional personnell, radio stations, fulfillment houses, travel agents, newspapers, TV stations, etc etc. No two days are ever the same & we will train you in any of the areas that you may be unfamiliar in.

Ac Execs will also be involved in the brainstorming of the ideas, concepts & strategies for all company clients and will deal directly with clients on a day to day basis, including presenting of proposals in some cases.

The role is full-on, pressured & very busy but hugely rewarding with a constant learning curve. So the skill set required would be the ability to keep a cool head, multi-task, be creative, be proactive, but most of all have the right "can do" attitude.

I have been chatting internally here about these positions and it is worth posting that for someone with a year or two of experience in a similar job / Marketing field / Event Management etc the salary scale could probably be stretched up to about €27,000
