Other Channels PIN

    Hi

I recently got the updated EPG for my SKY+ box. I have a PIN for accessing adult/over 18 channels.

After the update, it now asks me to enter the pin for the other channels option. This is a pain in the butt. When my kids want to watch cbeebies I need to enter the PIN for the adult channels.

Does anyone know if this can be fixed somehow.

    Many thanks

    Paddyo

No. having ANY controls or removal of "Adult Channels" from EPG will PIN protect "Other Channels" as all Adult content on EPG can be accessed this way, and the PIN system has no way of relating Channels added manually to the EPG system PIN controll.

I think I understand your point. Basically, anything can be put in other channels.

It has only started asking for the other channel PIN since the EPG Update though.

It would make more sense to ask for the PIN when tuning in stations manually.

    Thanks for the reply watty.

I'm never pestered to enter my PIN, luckily. Don't know it either -- using a FTV card.

I was so determined to crack the PIN one day that I began at 0000 and got as far as 1000. Took a few weeks. I wrote down the last number a stopped at each time. Needless to say, a change of batteries was required afterwards. It would be so much easier if PIN entry wasn't blocked for ten minutes after three successive, incorrect entries.

I haven't been defeated, though! I'm resume trying to get it again ... some day!

It's either the last four digits of your card, or last four digits of an earlier card of same type that was upgraded.
