Has anybody played in any of the events run by JD Poker, I think the name is correct, they are on in the Spawell, Tempelogue and The Old Mill, Tallaght. I'm looking for any info on structure, type of player, cost/rebuy's etc and any other experiences people have had with them.

It is JJp in the Spawell and Kestrel and a few other places. The guys that run it are decent skins and probably decent players them selves BUT the tournies are standard All In fests with either 15 or 20 minute levels for the first few then down to 10 minute levels and blinds doubling every round, towards the end you are nearly getting 1-2 hands in per round. You need to hit cards and once you do you'll get paid fish calling to the river with any Ace, even if they avn't hit yet. They just cant let it go.

I do know its due to the closing times but it is a complete crapshoot. They are running an event in the Ambassador in Kildare, 2nd March, €50 + 1 * €50 rebuy which I won a ticket to and will reserve proper judgement until I see how they run a large tournament.
