    I have a Dell 26" (W2600), and a computer running windows xp - with a 9800pro. I have it set to 1280x768 @ 85hz, 32bit, connected by DVI.

My problem is for example when I move a window from side to side on the desktop the sides of the window suffer a kind of distortion, like they are being redrawn out of sync. It is also apparent when watching video with fast sideways movement etc. It doesn't seem to be a problem with vertical motion.

    Any suggestions?

Have you the latest drivers installed for the card?

Also sometimes you need to install a monitor driver to get the best out of the monitor. Check Dell website for one.

And 85hz seems rather high. Have u tried it at 60 or 75Hz?

latest drivers yes (tried the official and omega)
installed monitor driver - which gave me the option to increase the frequency from 60hz. Tried 60hz, 70hz, 75hz and 85hz - all with the same result.

I would think its the monitor except there no effect when using a progressive scan dvd player. Perhaps I might try the VGA connection...
