Suggested itinerary for weekend in Galway?

Hi, myself and 3 girl friends are heading to Galway city for the weekend (Fri 17th to Mon 20th Feb) from the UK (I'm originally from Wexford). Can anyone suggest a good itinerary? Daytime and evening? Touristy things plus good places to eat and have a few drinks/boogie. We're all in our mid twenties.

    Thanks!

Hang around the station for a while looking lost and bewildered and wait for Knacker Dwarf to 'schpot the tourisht' . He will go away if you simply give him one woman, that leaves you 2 to play with so you should still have a nice weekend :p

Will you have a car? If so then as long as the weather is ok then I would recommend a drive to Leenane to clear any morning after feelings!!
As for eating depends on what your looking for there are plenty of places to choose from most are OK (though check the prices as some places are a little pricy) try Mcdonaghs for great fish and chips, As for Bars/Pubs then everyone will tell you something different. A quick pub crawl up quay/main/cross streets is always a good idea, then places like the Living Room, Kings Head, Buskers are all open late and for clubs then there is the GPO, Halo/Central Park and Cuba. I reckon you will be OK in any of those. Again you will find people on here will have their own favourites, do a quick search through the posts.
To be honest if you stick to the Main street you will have a great time and if you need a guide ;)

Terrible advice - don't go near the Hole in the Wall or the GPO - both crap holes.

A drink in The Dew Drop is always good. The only decent club in Galway on a Saturday night is De Burgos.
