Greek to Me! What is happening?

Within the past day or two I have been downloading pages with Greek lettering.
The underlying text is sound, it would seem, because when I COPY and PASTE it results in Roman lettering. Am I in the clutches of a virus? My download ability has also slowed down to a crawl from most sites - but from others I streak at a phenomenal rate. I can't seem to RESTORE either (WIN XP). Getting a bit cheesed off. Any moderate suggestions very much appreciated.

Not sure what you mean by the greek letters but if you think u might have a virus try these 3 free tools to start:

    www.adaware.com - spyware remover
    www.zonealarm.com - firewall
    www.avg.com - antivirus

Will speed things up if you clear your temporary files etc before you run them scans.

What browser are you using? Sounds like you may have changed your character encoding by accident.

i assume he means greek letters such as ᾶᾸᾨᾘᾩὥὦὖ὚Άᾢ. they use a different alphabet. as an interesting side note the word alphabet is actually the first two letters of the greek alphabet stuck together, alpha and beta......................................ill get my coat:v:
