    read the charter.
    Rule 3.
No more 'is it sore?' or 'where should I get pierced/tattooed?' threads.
Quote Etho--"I've closed 2 threads in as many days because frankly i'm getting very bored with all these silly questions."

Does it hurt? Yes, of course it hurts. Getting pierced with a sharp needle, or tattooed - where you have many sharp needled being jabbed into your skin - hurts, of course it hurts. But pain is a subjective thing. What is agony for one person, is another persons pleasure.

you're not on a poxy telephone, either use the full keyboard or stick to text speak on the phone please.
It's bad enough reading these stupid pain threads without having to read childish text speak as well.

^ above edited to make readable

And I really dislike people like you who don't know how to use a qwerty keyboard, learn to type properly it's a skill that'll stand to you in life. Also you'll have a hardtime on boards if you keep using text speak. Also your being very hippocritical by posting the above. :v:

    Some light reading
    Post count +1

This is nothing to do wit wat the person asked in this thread...seriously im just givin my answer back 2 her/him...and i cant type properly so im not goin to go learn just because u cant read it...iv posted and replyed to many threads and had another name for about 2years up until about 3weeks ago and this was never an issue!

It's really not that hard... There's a button (called a key) for each letter. You push it and the letter comes up on the screen. You do this a few times to make a word. You do it some more to make sentences. Congratulations: You have just completed It Wasn't Me's guide to correct typing.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 958 ✭✭✭porn_star

    haha...
yeah seriously, it makes it so much harder to read these posts with the stupid abbreviations. You have a whole Keyboard infront of you, use it. It'll do no harm. I actaully think if I was to type in text speak it would take me longer, cos I'd have to think of ways to shorten stuff. I guess all those people who were worried about texting effecting peoples writing skills were right....

anyway, can this thread be ****ed away now.
seriously the tongue doesn't hurt, either do it or don't, but stop with the ridicolous threads. If your looking for someone to tell you it doesnt hurt, cos thats the only thing that will make you fell better about it, then it doesnt hurt ok. finished?!

    ooh, burn!
    its not spk its speak!
'txt spk' is the term used for the omission of vowels and the substitution of numbers for certain syllables in an attempt to reduce the amount of characters used whilst typing a message, its name is derived from its common usage in "sms messaging" where the sender has a limited amount of characters per message and an alpha-numeric keypad.

read the charter and post decent questions, maybe then you'd get an answer from some of the piercers or experienced people that that come on to this forum as it is you got an answer from another 16 yr old who was the only one able to decipher your mumbo-jumbo or the only one who wasn't annoyed by it and bothered to give you an answer, but it's up to you, if you only want answers from people just as inexperienced as yourself and are willing to cut out serious answers from the people that know.......well that would just be compounding stupidity really.

i got it done anyway because all your answers ment nothing because you started talking about language! thanks for nothing guys!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 958 ✭✭✭porn_star

Oh my god, stop being so ungrateful.our answers meant nothing?
You asked does it hurt?! Were you really expecting some deep and meaningful and inspirational answer? People answered your question as stupid and unnecessary as it was. You came on here, didn't bother to read the charter and wasted everybodies time. And anyway, do you honestly expect everyones pain thresehold to be the same and think that everyone would have the same feeling when it comes towards pain. Beside the fact that most of us have moved on from the worry of whether it hurts or not.
Lets be honest, you were afraid and all you were looking for was someone to reassure you and say no it doesn't hurt, even if they lied. Just so you could work up the balls to do it.

And I wouldn't necessarily say you learnt nothing from this thread anyway, I'm sure you've come away with the knowledge that there's a whole keyboard infront of you to be used and it eliminates the need for abbreviations.

can this thread be dumped/locked/whatever now.

Thanks for taking the time to read and repeat the content of my post, but more importantly you actually took the time to write out full words, so next time if you post using English then maybe people wont jump to the conclusion that you are some 12 year old who has their own secret language and take you seriously and get past the language and answer your questions, it's easy really.

<edit> when I see text speak I am thinking, aaah off to Georges St. Arcade are we? I mean someone who is old enough for a proper piercing studio wont write that shit will they?

back on topic, i got my tongue pierced a few hours ago, it, personally, didnt hurt me to much, he had the bar in and i was still thinking he hadnt taken the needle out. im a wuss with pain and i thought it was fine. i have 1 problem though, i dont want to use the salt thing as it hurts like hell but the mouthwash dosnt, can i only use the mouthwash or do i have to use both?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 958 ✭✭✭porn_star

I only ever used mouthwash for mine.
Salt solution tastes like crap, I wasn't gonna rinse with that. Plus I was told I didn't have to. I'd imagine mouthwash will do just fine.

F**king hell. I wouldn't recommend anyone going to that place, in fact i wouldn't recommend any place in Tipperary for tattooing and peircing.... and I'm from Tipp. I've heard that guy in Gothic is terrible. He's peircing charges have apparently reduced considerably as a means for him to atract business, and I've seen some of the Tattoo's he's done.... terrible work, bad outlines, and blurred colouring. To add, I'm not one bit surprised he peirced a kid.... people tell me his only mad for business!!!

Go further afield like the guy in Waterford, or Danny Bullman's in Limerick City.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16 top_cat13_2000

ya i agree with you about Gothic in Clonmel. All his piercings are only €30 at the moment because he isnt getting any business. he told my sis that the other piercing place (accross from lifestyle in clonmel) the lad in there keeps trying to buy used needles off him. its a totaly dive!

Are you serious about that place in Clonmel - Across from lifestyle? My mother got two tattoos done there on the sly
