    Hey y'all,

Set up a quick website for a friend of mine so that he can update news and add pics to it easily. Its a history site for a book they are writing. I have uploaded and installed wordpress as I reckon that would be easiest for him to use. Was gonna use joomla but i figure it would be more complicated for him for such a simple website. Anyone disagree or think of any better software for this?
Anyone know what is the main photo gallery software people use in blogs? coppermine? gallery 2? as in, which is easiest to intergrate.

    Thanks for any advice/help.

Mambo/Joomla has an integration component for Menalto Gallery2

    See: Gallery 2.0.1 (http://gallery.menalto.com/)
    See: Component ‘com_gallery2v209’ (http://www.4theweb.nl/)

    I have used Lazy Gallery:
    http://www.lazyboy.dk/wordpress/?page_id=14
(Seems its been hacked a little rtight now)

    And the Gallery2 plugin:

Both are pretty decent and easy to use.
What I did while I was travelling was use jupload applet in the photos directory so I could just upload a few hundred images at once to the dir and the script automatically creates thumbnails etc. This might be a good idea for your client.
