Multiplayer Mods for GTA San Andreas
Recently there has been new multiplayer mods released. GTA Rumble and Multi Theft Auto San Andreas. These are both very fine mods and both are developed by European teams.

These mods are only known to work on the GTA SA 1.0 version (before the Hot Coffee stuff was erased)

    GTA Rumble
This is a mod developed by British developers. It is currently the best deathmatch offering in San Andreas in my opinion. It is fast and quick DM action, based around the Air base near Las Venturas. There are a selection of cars and planes to try out. However not all is syncd exactly yet but you can still race and attack people in pure deathmatch style. The whole San Andreas map is open for people to drive about and fly about in teams. This mod is also being updated all the time to add more functionality.
you can find this at http://www.gta-rumble.com
Current version is GTA Rumble 0.1d

    MTA San Andreas
This is currently only a race mod. But there will be deathmatch in the near future. This race mod however is very good, it boasts some things that some race games dont have. It shows that GTA cars, planes and boats can be put to good use for a racing game. You can make your own maps in the map editor and you can share them at http://center.mtasa.com

you can find this at http://www.mtasa.com
Current version is MTA SA 1.0 Race Mod

SA-MP is also currently in development and it looks very promising. SA-MP http://sa-mp.com. VC-MP was also developed by them http://www.gtamultiplayer.com/vc-mp

Gunz: The Duel is alright. Nothing too special. Played it a few months ago, and got to a reasonable level. Quite enjoyed it actually, think I'll have to give it a go again sometime soon.

MTA racing is the way for me, some good maps including "Blow the Dam" and "GofastFTW".

Lots of san andreas mods too like new commercial cars (eg. mitsubishi lancer etc.), bikes, planes, helicopters, islands and the like. Do not modify the installation that the multiplayer is set to though, otherwise your client will fail to verify or you will be kicked for cheating.

I find Mta racing a bit pissy when it comes to crashes though, the crashes arent synced properly. Deathmatch for MTA is being developed but i can see some laggy pissants fecking that all up with their laggy lag.....

EDIT: San Andreas version downgrader HERE

Yeah mods are a go go but there is always cheaters about. such as people changing the GTA Rumble SCM to the original GTA one so they can go shop in ammunation lol
