    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has been on a booze cruise before? If anyone can pass on some information that would be great.

I went on a booze cruse a couple of years back, on the ferries. You just showed up that morning and bought a return ticket for £ 10. This was back in the day when there was still duty free. The the drink on the boat cost shag all. Your let off the ferry in Holyhead for a couple of hours. Whixh generallly results in drunken chaos. With the police generally escorting everyone back to the boat. This wasnt the case the time I went. My very druken and Ultra Obnouius mates. Got me locked up overnight in a cell in Holyhead. I ended up missing ,my grad as a result. The ferry companies have since stopped running this type of cruise. Insterad the ferry sails at night and under no circamstances are you allowed to leave the boat.

Best Booze Cruise was to Holyhead with a best mate. Arrived there early, went for something to eat, got a little tanked on the way over and some Welsh guy told us 'You gotta go to Rhyl mate'. So we did. One of the best weekends of drinking I ever had. It was supposed to be a 1 Dayer and turned into a long weekender.

My Advice: Get out of Holyhead as soon as you can. It's Dire. You're better off staying on the boat! The rest of wales rules though!

    I go every year.
    Irish Ferries Motorist Mini Cruise
    Rosslare - Roscoff return.
€260 all in for 2 people + cabin + car

It's available off peak months. April and September

dont go to Cherbourg. Roscoff is better.

friday night over. saturday night back.

good fun. great prices on the booze.

I went on Good Friday a couple of years ago and it was jammed because all the pubs on dry land were closed :D ... It was great craic altogether.. I didnt think much of Holyhead itself but the boat trip was a good laugh

Went on a charity one couple of years back - the booze was practically free - probably one of the drunkest i've ever been. Blackout, the works.Completely self-inflicted of course. I'm afraid i can't recommend it tho!

Yeah, was on one 5 or 6 years ago.

More then half of my work called in sick. (Part time job in school at the time) Was a briliant laugh!

To add to the stupidity, some of the guys bought pellet guns over there, staggered back through customes with the only questions being about whether we had been near a farm or not. (around the time of foot and mouth/bse). Doubt this is that same situation now.

As said there's nothing in holly head.... Am happy that i got it done when half the point of going out was getting hammered.:D
