Using PPP software (and the raise box)

Is it just me, or is this horribly confusing.

The number I put in the box is added to the amount of the bet already on the table

So if Im playing a 2/4 game, and I want to make it 14 to go preflop ... I have to put in 10.

Thus far, in my first foray into cash games on the site, I've put in the wrong number 4 times.

    grumble grumble

Once or twice ok fair enough. 4 times is just sheer stupidity.

Its more habit from other sites.

When I wanna make it 50, I put 50 into the box. I dont have to think, I just stick 50 into the box.

I don't play Paddy Power poker anymore as I don't like it.

And from 17:20 to 18:18 this evening I sent six emails to their website support. I'm trying to log in and place a bet. I got a few replies and then they stopped answering. I still can't bet.

I found the betting on Tribeca weird too but you get used to it very quickly. I was surprised today in a rebuy tourny when I wanted to double up or go broke and rebuy then top up on the last hand that I couldn't and only the top up worked :(

That's the sort of reply I've been getting from their support. But I use Broadband Ireland. I got rid of my Eircom land line as it was useless, and even more useless for online poker.

I finally got to place a bet after almost two hours. Luckily the bet is on the English Derby at Epsom in June.

This explains what the urgency was all about so!

No mystery. It's Sir Percy @ 16/1 with PP for the English Derby. He won four races from four as a 2 year old last year. Only problem is I'm not certain he will run in the race. He finished his season by narrowly winning the Dewhurst at Newmarket (traditionally the top 2yo race) from Aidan O'Brien's Horatio Nelson (the 6/1 Derby favourite).

I like a bit of value. I also have a few Euro on Betfair waiting for someone to give me a price (18.0 or 17/1).

Betting ante-post is a risky business. Often the horse dies or can't be bothered to turn up on the day. :)

I think this is more an issue for PPP support, and the Horse Racing forum.
