I have been out of work lately due to illness because of the way i have been treated and threatened due to being off sick I dont intend returning. Thing is I have been told by a colleague that one of the supervisors is going through my work emails which is allowed in case company is losing any work. Can anyone tell me how I can legally spam this account with a few thousand messages or hundreds of videos to clog it up or is there anyway i can block the account from outside. Please help.

Uh, why would you want to do that? o_O
Forget about it, short of causing criminal damage - if it's on their systems, they can access it.
Just let it go, if they're well within their rights to check these emails, then acting up like that is only going to achieve nothing but land you in trouble.

im not looking for advice on this matter all i want to do is keep someone busy. I dont want to damage any systems or do anything illegal but if this guy is going to be snooping i just want to keep him busy by sending him a few thousand emails to go through.

just sign up to loads of mailing lists using that email address. even if they require authorisation, it'll still give him work. or sign up using a hotmail account/yahoo/gmail that can't be linked back to you and autoforward all mail to your work email address.

I'd advise against this, think straight man, this is a very stupid thing todo and childish.

You're not asking for advice but you'll get it. If I were in your managers position I'd probably have someone checking your e-mail to make sure no important work got lost. Stop acting like an idiot and move on.

Guys are understand what you all are saying but please dont judge or jump to judgement without knowing the background facts or the petiness of these guys. If anyone has any advice on clogging up this account please help out. Of course I understand they may have to check in case there are work related issues there but when it comes to emailing people as me from my account thats another matter.

I sincerely doubt they would do that, what makes you think they are?

I went sick from work once for 2 weeks, and my manager checked my emails and responded to urgent queries from HIS account.

Also, I left there on Friday, and left my passwords on a sticky on the pc so they could deal with any emails that might come to my account during the hand over.

It is, after all, company email.

AFAWK it's you that's being petty, you've given us no background to think otherwise. I'd go back to work & stop acting like a child.

I suggest that this thread be as it offers no contribution to the work forums.

Also mail bombing people is illegal. It could crash the server causing them to lose business. Not a bright idea.
