    Hey there,
Dunno if this is a thread for the travel forum??? but here goes.

Has anyone here used VisaFirst for their Visa's and stuff for going to oz?
Anyone any bad experiences dealing with them.
    Heres one...
Myself and a friend were left in Oz for 2 weeks (just about) with no money because VisaFirst lost it somewhere in their system. They offer a hassle free 48hour transfer of your funds into a new australian bank account they set up for you. But after nearly 2weeks we had no money.... Its a scary experience being a million miles from home with not a penny to your name I tells ya!

    Anyone else any stories?

    Yup. Awful experience.

I got caught in Singapore without a visa. They had all my documentation [it later turned out] , but did not process my application properly, and since it's all on -line i didn't know. I was supposed to be getting a connecting flight bali-singapore-sydney, but instead i got caught in singapore for 3 days, not knowing what was going to happen. They were completley unhelpful, until my sister who had a connection, with Sayit [through whom i had applied to Visa First] stepped in.

I was so upset, and alone in a foreign country, and they weren't even apologetic, and tried to blame the whole thing on me!

    Just terrible!

    >> To the original poster - sorry about your troubles! So crap to get stuck without money. I know!

Dont know about you guys but I used visafirst in 2004! Had no problems and got a job through their kickstart package in Sydney! Well worth it considering the pain in the arse it is finding work

I am heading to Australia in november, i used visa first to get my visa... i opened a bank account with them too, but myself and boyfriend were both thinking about transferring the money ourselves, not through them!!! not sure if i trust them enough, i've been hearing mixed stories!
