    Hi Y'all,

Would putting in RAM that is the wrong speed e.g. pc pc3200 instead of pc2100 damage a motherboard?

AS i understand it, the memory will just work at the lower speed.

It is very unlikley that it will do any damage. However it would be an idea to do a memory test first to check that it is not producing any errors.

    Thanks

Some boards only accept certain speeds, mixed DDr ram wont work.

Check your manual online or in the box to find out what it supports.

I had 2100 and 2700 running together at 266MHz and no problems.
Probably depends on your motherboard though.
