    Hello there everybody!

    Yup yup.

Anyways, heading to montreal this summer on student visa and I was wondering is anyone familiar with the place, or even better with what to do when you get out there as a student.

Some information I would love to know is

Where is the best place to find accomodation, and should I try get it sorted before I go?
If I should, what would be the best way of going about it?

There are 5 of us going, so would we be talking apartment or house?

Is French an absolute necessary there? I have none, but I really would like to go there, from the cultural aspect of things, and because of the good festivals over there.

    And any other usefull information.

    Thank you.

Pretty much everyone in Montreal is bilingual. You really dont need any French to go there.
I wouldnt know about accomodation since I was only there for about 5 days, but you would be better off sorting that out before you go there. I was in toronto last summer and it made things a lot easier knowing I had a place to stay in the minute I got there.

The festivals are fantastic. I really enjoyed the film festival and there are plenty of sites to see. I'd day it would be a great place to live for the summer. Enjoy!

    Cheers Jabba,

just wondering, how did you go about finding your place in toronto? and had you a job also organised before you went there?

    Thanks,
    -Coz.
