Hey Im a leaving cert student. I put down Veterinary in UCD as my first choice on the CAO not sure if it was a good choice or not but can still change my mind if i must. Was just wondering if any of yous know what the course is like, is it tough? Also Im a bit afraid that if I do get in it will be full of yonder country folk who know what they are on about while i'll just be standing there going 'horse'? ALSO this is quite embaressing, but im allergic to cat hair, will this be abig problem? i dont want to work with cats (ever) but will i have trouble graduating and stuff? sorry for so many questions but i really want to get this course just not sure if its a match made entirely in heaven for me!! the mocks were sh1t too so i might not even get it after all! any feedback would be nice

Not full of country folk although you will get some students who have experience with large animals (horses, cows, sheep, etc). Just as many city students as country ones.

Regarding the cat hair, well yes, it may pose some problem, but there are ways around it. You specialise in the end anyway, Large animals, small animals etc... you can always opt for large animals.
