Ken we welcome news of tournaments and as JoeyJJ has said we do require that organisers announcing their tournaments use the format specified. I'll give you time to do so but I'll have to remove it if you don't.

    Muso

Talked to this guy on the phone and he seems on the level. 15min levels, 90 min rebuy period, 1.5k starting chips and 3k add-on. I'll let him respond properly but will play this next week and report back.

I was pretty sure he was on the level. I'm only referring to an established system that we need to stick to. Thanks for the info.

Very aggressive structure alright, a top up is only 3BB's !!!

Thanks guys for the feedback regarding our blind structures.
Who is imaginative enough to come up with one that will work for lets be honest a short tournie thats played over 3 hours ? Generally speaking the 500/1000 blind starts after the break and by that stage most loose players are out.If we lenghten the blind timeframes all we end up doing is prolonging the game into the early hours and I don,t want that either.Best suggestion gets free entry for our next tournie :)

You'd be better doing a double chance or freezeout, and get it finished in 3 hours than a mulitple re-buy. I know you have to make a few quid as well, but your tournament business will be a shortlived one with those blind structures.

start earlier and have rebuys for first hour and half(30mins each) 25-50 50-100 100-200 then after break have 20 mins blinnds starting at 200-400 round 9.30 then continue with 3-6 4-8 5-10 8-15 that will bring you to eleven oclock then have 15min blinds 1-2 2-4 3-6 etc you should finish easily round 12 12.30 thats the blind level we use in our tournies and it works fine with up to 60 people wat u tink?free entry eh???!!!

    Thanks pokerking,

Yeah I,m willing to try anything that will improve the game for players and we will change the structure this Thurs in Maynooth and see how it goes,we can,t start any earlier as players are a last minute thing always lol.If I advertised start at 7pm I,d still be lucky to get going by 8 so I,ll just change the structure.I am reluctant to go to freezeout naturally because it just means that we end up working for nothing.Am interested in holding a freezeout maybe once a month in Maynooth but not sure if theres enough customer interest. My suggestion would be 50+5 and hope to get 100 players, what do you think ?

Yes your more than welcome to come play FREE Pokerking,we will be in Caulfields this Thursday at 8pm,just make yourself known to me.

    Ken
