stored channels being lost

I understand that non-subscription channels programmed on a skybox are frequently lost after a period of time. Presumably this is because Sky are "updating" the viewing card? Can this be avoided, i.e. how can the channels be more permanently stored? (Viewing card has current subscription)

Store ten or less. It seems related to personal planner use as well as upgrades.
