USB Key Broken

I was using my 1GB disgo lite USB memory key today and everything was fine.
I come home from college, on the way home, I decide to listen to some music off the key on my Aldi brand (Tevion) car radio. I plug it in but it doesn't work. I assumed it was just the cable wasn't connected right (Its a bit dodgy)(It was working just before that and has worked since with different USB keys). I get home, plug it into my laptop... ...Nothing. I try it on my PC... ...Nothing. It doesn't even recognise there's anything pluged in.

Any ideas what happened to it?
    Is it revivable?

Im not sure what could have happened here

Are you sure that you didn't drop it, or damage it in any way...

I've never heard of a problem like this before, and I'm not sure if it is the key that just broke or the radio that broke it

Maybe you should contact Disgo and tell them of your problem.

Yeah, that's happened to me before on me than one occasion. Works one day, doesn't work the next. Expect that to happen to all memory sticks at some point.

If it's got a 1GB capacity I assume that it's reasonably new - maybe it's still under warranty?

I treat memory sticks like I used to treat floppies :
    1) never ever store your only copy of a file on it
    2) if used for a critical application, carry two sticks with your data duplicated on them
    3) expect it to fail at some point. When it does, throw it out and get a new one.

    Regards,

    Liam

I didn't drop it or get it wet or damage it in any way. Luckily I know not to trust them and didn't have anything I couldn't recover on it. I got it around september (give or take a month or so). I'm gonna see if it is still under warranty, maybe I'll be able to get a replacement.
