    Hi,

Looking for information on best plan of attack getting from Blessignton to Dublin City Centre on a regular basis. Will be driving but wondering if its best to park and ride etc. Anyone do likewise?

I.E, drive to, say, Red Cow and get Luas in, or alternatively to Dundrum etc or even keep on going to the DART.

Also, any idea on typical commute times but bearing in mind I’ll be travelling mostly off peak. I’m either due in work at 7am or 11am, depending on my shift

    Any info would be great

Blessington is served by the Dublin Bus 65 service. The first departure is at 06.50 and is scheduled to arrive in Dublin City Centre at 08.15 so I don't think this will suit your 7am start. But there are other departures to suit your later start time.

Seconding the 65, but be very careful with the timetable because it's very irregular.

7am on bus, no chance. 11am is easy on the 8:15 bus from Blessington or leaving before 10 in a car. Not much traffic after 930.

To be in at 7am would mean leaving at around 6ish in your car, there should be no traffic.

Coming back is a different story, but depending on where you are going back to in Blessington, you can take some back roads (like red lane) to skip the heavy traffic at peak times. Going up the n81 before jobstown is the biggest time waster when coming back to Blessington.

Turning right at the Blue Gardinia and going over the Tallaght Hill in the morning can get you into tallaght in 20-25 mins when there's traffic. You'd want to be a confident driver though.
