Monobloc LNB with a Digibox

Friend has a dish with a monobloc lnb (orignally used for astra1/hotbird) which he'd like to now use with a digibox pointing it at Astra 2 (presumably only using one of the monobloc's lnbs, if you follow)

I'm not sure it will work though, as digiboxes can't handle diseqc, therefore it won't be able to select which one of the monobloc's lnbs to use.

Am I right in my thinking or does anyone have any experience that differs?

you are correct digibox will not work selecting either but one will be available to him by default so in Theory it can work on astra 2
