A six year old Toyota Carina E, with about 90K on the clock. Terrific car, the only time it let me down was when the original battery died at around 105K. Nearly wrote it off the first time I drove it!

The first car I drove was a hand me down 1995 ford fiesta from my brother. I shared it with my younger brother for 6 months, but then I started having to commute to work, so I got myself a 1997 polo 4 door. I sold that a month ago and now I have a 1999 vw Bora 1.6 comfortline, so thats 3 cars I've had in one year :) I do drive alot though.

I had a 98 clio (Mark II), bought her at three months old - ex demo.

I kept her for five years, only one problem - cracked fuel line, not a big deal expect for the muppets in the garage who didn't put it back together right! (Ended up in the fast lane of the M50, going 70 mph when the engine cutout!)

Picking up my fourth car today, 1.6 FSI Golf Plus - spot the guy with the young kid!

The first car I learned to drive in was my dad's 1988 Nissan Bluebird 1.8. It was dog slow, had the aerodynamics and style of a stone but it was the bee's knees to me at the time.

My first car that I owned was a 1991 Nissan Sunny 1.4 with 90k on the clock. Grand little car. The car cost me £3,500 and the insurance was £2,000 TPFT  .

I had the Sunny for 12 months, the only issues I had with it were that both front wheels needed new bareings and there was a problem with the heater. It would only blow cold air which was a slight problem in the cold winter mornings. The problem was with the leaver that switched the fan from cold to hot air. I carried a pair of pliers in the glove box to force the leaver from cold to hot in the winter.

Ford Escort MkI 1300xl automatic :D It was slow and thirsty.

I then bought and restored a Renualt 4 van. Excellent yoke.

Fiat Uno 1.1. Grand wee car.

1987 - 1999 Co. cars. Mainly boring. I had an early Opel Tigra, which was "different".

1999 - date. Fords. All new. 1 Mondeo, and 6 or 7 Focuses. Employees scheme jobs :D Excellent motors all of them.

We had two new Hillman Avengers when I was a kid, so I'm going to guess at around 1972 or thereabouts. :) By the way, it was Jinksy in Pixie, Dixie and Mr. Jinks that used to say "I hate all meeces to pieces!" :D

The first car I owned was a Citroen AX GT. Bought it from a mate, it was his first car as well. He'd christened it Hector and the name stuck, although none of my cars since have had names that stuck. We were together about two years when the head gasket went and I thought it was time to turn Japanese.

First Car I owned : 1992 1.4 Ford Escort. Bought in 1999. Had it for about 2 years. It was an ok enough car. Solid, comfortable and fairly reliable.

First car I was insured on : My parents 1987 Toyota Carina. They bought it in 1992. Was an ex-squad car. I always liked that car.

What I learned to drive on : A 20 year old 1965 Fordson Super Dexta (That's a tractor for all ye Palers...) when I was 8 years old.

1986 Nissan Laurel, with 180k miles on the clock, bought off a taxi driver on the way home from a drunken day out. Cost 400 punts and I spent about 1k on it afterwards.
My favourite feature on it was the way I had to lock the steering to the right under braking to counter the pull to the left in order to keep it in a straight line. Kept it for about 6 months and then someone bought it off me for parts.

It even had a theme song, which was losely based on 'How Bizarre' by OMC

SNAP!! Learned to drive on a 62 dexta in the bog with my uncle back the way. She had tyres from a round baler on the front!! I believe it was nicknamed daisy!!!

My first car was a 94 clio.. it fell to bits after 6 months fan belt, back shocks clutch which was always dodgy. was a bad buy.. Then bought a 98 VW polo.. a fantastic car and i was sorry to see it go... Now I gots a 02 Golf Comfortline.

First Car 1995 Honda Civic 1.5l saloon -great car drove for 6 months and sold with 1000 euro profit!
Only been driving for 2 years so heres what i've had in those two years!
Then got a Mercedes Benz 190E 2.0l for a couple of months before I gave it to a friend cause it was too much of a gas guzzler.
Then got a 1992 Nissan Sunny carvan cause it was so cheap to tax and insure (still have it as a backup car!)
Then got a 1991 Toyota Carina II 2.0l which I got cause wanted something with back seats again, drove it for about 3 months before selling it cause I found the car I always wanted as a kid.
It was a 1990 Nissan Bluebird ZX Turbo Executive which was my dream car before it was stolen after only one month of ownership.
Currently drive a 1995 Mazda 626 Estate 1.8l, which is fine although i'm thinking of going back to the sunny van cause it is such a great little car!

    When I was 14 I bought a 1978 Audi 80 off a Gard!

Great car, the dampers were non-existant so we'd be big-pimpin down the road! Used it to "misappropiate" sand for a soundproof room we were building, ah those were the days.

[true story] About a week before I sold it on, I stopped to get petrol and the lock in the cap broke. I had to borrow a crowbar from the guy behind the counter (dont ask!)to pull it off. Picture the scene: 14year old with crowbar in Finglas ripping the crap out of a "banger"

So, the gards pull into the petrol station while im doing this. Naturally I though I was fecked. They saw me, and the situation looked unfavourable for me to say the least.

Not quite, a bangarda litterally went into the shop, bought a bottle of instant coffee and the squad card drove off! [/true story]

My first legal car was a 93 Nissan Sunny.

First car was a brand new Citroen Saxo.

Learned to drive in a whole host of cars, on and off the road :D but had my first insurance on my mothers old car - a Nissan Micra.

Now onto my 4th car - well I will be tomorrow all going to plan :)

Showing my age here ... first car I drove, and learnt to drive in was a 1964 Ford Anglia. First car I owned was a 1962 Mk I Ford Cortina. It cost me £125 to buy, and £100 to insure TPFT in 1977 :)

First car was a 1995 Opel 1.2L Corsa. It still is my car, 3 years later though it's due to be side-shifted in favour of something newer.

In fairness to it, it never let me down, and with a 6 speaker system, the sound wasn't bad either (though I did replace the rear speakers with something more ample)!

Just hope whatever car I buy next will be as bother-free as Kimi the Corsa! :)
