Bluetooth Problems

    Hello,

I have a Belkin F8T003 Bluetooth adapter (quite old Skool) any way, I have it working fine, but I tried to use some software with it, that needs an updated Bluetooth Stack (Available with XP SP2, which I'm running) I followed this: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=3163 in order to use bluetooth using the XP support and the upgraded bluetooth stack instead of using the software supplied by Belkin.

Anyway, I get to the bit that says "Go to Bluetooth devices applet" I don't have that, or "Bluetooth Configuration" so I can't configure the bluetooth. It's doing my head in.

    Any ideas?

If no one can help on that, I'm looking for an application that will send a command from my phone to the PC via bluetooth to shut down the pc. That's all I need it to do. Salling.Clicker.v3.0.1.347 does this, but is the software that need to have the upgraded Bluetooth Stack. Does anyone know any freeware that'll do the same?

Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I'm not 100% sure of bluetooth etc.

    Nice one, John
