thinking of getting more ram for the pc, it has at the mo - 512mb ddr pc2100, looking on komplett they only have two sticks of that type for sale so firstly is that type of ram soon to be extinct? also the ram i have is samsung so if i get more does it have to be the same brand? and finally if i get rid of that ram and start anew with say pc3200 hundred ram would that work and just be slower? or not work at all? the manual for my s2469 mobo says pc2100/1600. any help would be appreciated. Cheers:confused:

Some 2100 for sale in the FS forums.

For ram the best website is www.crucial.com

    and use the memory selector.

I'm pretty much have the same query as mountain lips that I'm planning to put another 512MB PC 3200 getting from my friend into my computer. I was wondering at the moment the RAM I had is 512MB PC2700 and if I put the new RAM into it will it make any issue with the PC? I know I'm suppose to get two identical RAM for better performance but are there BIG different on it? I don't mind as long as the two RAM didn't make my system worse. I'm using Abit N7 mobo.

    Thanks in advance.

For PC3200 RAM you need a motherboard that supports PC3200 RAM.
If you don't... tough crap! (or, buy a new motherboard that supports all oyur other stuff aswell!)

    Simple.
