When I set up my All In Poker account back in November or whenever it set up I sent invitations to a few friends using the site's invitation feature, I also sent one to one of my other email addresses. I just saw today that the invitation was resent yesterday to that address citing my main email address as the sender. Has anyone else found All In Poker resending these invitations? If so I don't appreciate them spamming by proxy if people are getting emails purporting to be from me asking them to join for a 2nd time. Maybe it's just an an anomaly, but I deposited in it yesterday for the 1st time, maybe they think they're being helpful by trying to get players in my downline by resending the invitations I originally sent but it's out of order making me look like a spammer.

happened to me too. im sure when you invite people it is mentioned somewhere that if they dont join the site reserve the right to send again.

They thought they were being helpful.

What happened was simple. They have been given bonded mailer status which means that most of the main mail servers (like Hotmail etc) which were binning their invites as spam, now understand that its person-to-person mail. Rather then ask people to resend pending emails, they wrote a script to do it. The script went right back to the start and resent any rejected mails or pending invites.

The CEO reads these forums avidly and I've been talking to him about it (Antesup had the same thing happen to us, quite a few in fact).
I agree it's not the best way to handle it though 2 mails in 5 months wouldn't have me class you as a spammer in my mind.

Suffice it to say that you're concerns have been echoed by me and others and it wont be happening again, it was a once off anyway. It was a misguided attempt to help because a lot of people were complaining their invites weren't getting through.

There is a thread on the blonde poker forum about this, dave colcloughs name was sent in an email apparantely for AIP here http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=6730.15. Colclough aint happy at all and has replied in this thread

on the subject of All-in Poker did anybody get a phone call asking them a few questions about AIP?Your man was sound and i was happy to answer questions such as why i hadnt deposited. I was credited with $20 for answering the questions which was a bonus.its a good way to get more people deposting and playing

Yeah the mails were resent for Dave who didnt remember he'd sent them. (it *was* 5 months ago). I wish this hadn't happened but on the plus side a few people I had invited signed up so I'm not all that upset.

The $20 was a nice touch alright.

    Hi all,

between the contributors to this thread and my earlier post on the Blonde forum today I am not sure I have a huge amount more to add. We know that invitations were not getting through and put this down to the 90 day period during which we were not bonded. People were complaining and, having achieved Bonder Sender Certification, we re-sent any unanswered invitations as a once off remedial action. Our view is that this is a service to the members. I have to accept that we could have tightened up the process here but I made the call that people will thank us for it. It is already resulting in new registrations. It is important to note that the Reminders are exact copies of the invitations authored by the original sender. I certainly unreservedly apologise to any of you who don't agree.

Any one who wants to contact me personally may do so on ceo@allinpoker.com.

    Thanks,
    Paul Barnes,
    CEO, All In Poker

    Paul,
I got an email today from mailerdaemon@allinpoker.com which hotmail identified as junk. It was only to tell me that I'd tried to send an invitation to an invalid address, but since you are Bonded Senders you might want to look at why this comes up as junk.

Just got notification of €250 January bonus, this is great and will keep me playing on all in.

    David.

I just got notification of a 0.00 bonus for January for being such a loyal customer (I realise I got nothing cos my downline is doing very well but it still sounds like an insult)

    Hi all,

thank you for the feedback. Friday last was not exactly the high-point of "how to get your emails right". We noticed the 0.00 bonus email, which, as bohsman correctly says, only went to those whose downlines are "doing well". I assure you that each recipient will be personally contacted with an explanation. We'll be using the phone :o

    Regards,
    Paul

That's fair enough thanks for the replys. There's a big difference between remedying a previous mailing problem and a policy of periodically resending the emails which I feared, I have no problem with that.Thanks.

I got 0 bonus too but the idea behind the bonus was to reward people who

    1. Played a lot of hands and so put a lot of rake into the system
    2. Didnt get much or anything from their downlines.

Its a good way of countering the "pyramid" accusation as typically these would be active people at the bottom of the downlines. How many hands did you play last month on AIP Nic?

754...just over...but as much as I have a small downline...I still got $65 from them :) and if I reach target this month I'm already making $12...huzzah! now if only more then 1 or 2 people in my downline were to play I could make more by being closer to the top of the MIGHTY PYRAMID!!

ugh...I gotta start working now :(

This is slightly off topic, but does anyone else notice how ropey the All In connection can be? I have just started back playing here and nearly every table I play on I lose chips/money because of the connection. Just now I was down to final 3 on a $20 STT with second chip stack and the table just froze for about 4 mins, when it reconnected I was out in third (I had about twice the amount of chips the player in third had before the disconnect) I went on another table after and similar problems there. I managed to ask the table if they were having problems and it seems its a common occurance.
At the time the table froze, I had full internet connectivity (could ping sites and no latency etc)
I know this can/does happen on other sites but I have being playing on PP for the last month and this type of service might make me go back!

EDIT: Its also difficult to get anyone in support on these matters.

    Azzeretti,

thank you for this. I don't want to pass the buck but this is most likely a Prima network issue as the All In Poker client feeds into the network. The interface with All In Poker is for registration, login, Members Lounge and Banking mainly (i.e. website functions).

However, I take it very seriously - if you would care to submit the table/tournament, time, date, your alias I will personally submit it to our support team (support@allinpoker.com / ceo@allinpoker.com)

    Sorry for your inconvenience,
    Paul
