Anybody know the maximum resolution this gets?

what exactly do you mean? Desktop resolution? It depends on the texture memory & refresh rate.

    For example, 2mb will do 1024x768 @ 85Hz and 16Bit colour.

Gaming wise, it depends on how intensive the textures in the game are and how much filtering\antialising you want. This could vary from 320x240 to xxx x xxx depending on the game

Assuming you are refering to just the max output resolution (and nothing gaming related) then I think a Ti500 should be capible of either 1600x 1200 or 1280x1024 on DVI (I think it differed for some cards) and 2048x1536 on VGA.

Having done a quick check it appears that the stated max of 1280x1024 on DVI probably isn't a hard limit for those cards.

Id concur with that anyway, should be no bother to it.

    Right, I was thinking of investing in a 24"/30" LCD sometime, but with resolutions like 2560 x 1600, 1920 x 1200 and 1680 x 1050 I'm not sure.

You need a dual link dvi card for the 30" monitors (i.e. X1k series), or I think the nvidia cards with 2 dvi outputs can drive the monitors via 2 cables (this is the setup apple used afaik).

Any DVI port can power the 24" models, though DVI was new on the geforce3 series, so it really depends on whether it was implemented correctly.
