    Hi all,
Bear with me, dont know the ins and outs of networking (suppose thats why im asking!! :)

I currently am with IOL Broadband, and am using the ZyXEL Prestige 600 series thingy that came from them.

My problem is that I need to be able to get a connection upstairs and downstairs. So, the question is can i purchase a Belkin F5D7632 ADSL Modem/Wireless Router (802.11g) from Dell with a laptop I am buying and use that for my existing bb connection but get access throughout the house for my laptop?

Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me!!

Yeah you can set up the Belikin to work with the IOL settings, just needs some muddling around with settings.

ah, that was really easy! I think the only problem is that i seem to have to have my upstairs destop powered up to get my network around the house. config was really user friendly though, thanks for making me feel better bout my purchase!

The wireless network should be available with the desktop powered off, obviously you won't be able to get to things on the desktop with it off, but otherwise it should work fine...
