    Girls: Need your advice
Right, I want to get some really nice lingerie for my girlfriend who will be abroad for Valentines day. I want to get something really nice, fashionable and expensive. Not just some tacky stuff for my benefit. What are the brands to go for. ie. If you were given a blank cheque to get underwear, what would you go for?

The problem is a lot of the shops seem to be very tacky. Like Agent Provocateur is revolting. La Perla and all seem to be really overpriced and nasty. You can get much nicer things for cheaper. They just have a big name and nothing else. Don't just go for specific brands.

Personally I love quirky things like this. Although I'm 18 so if she's older she may not be as into cutesy things as me...

What age is she, what does she dress like etc? Will help get an idea of what she'd like.

ahh this is the thing. She is abroad very far away and I was just going to get the local places to deliver stuff to her. So I know that some supermodels have brands of underwear that are meant to be good. Stuff that is available all over the world.

And she's 24 ladylotts but yes I would still love to see her in those. So cute and sexy.

I've a pair like those, the only problem is if you wear tight trousers, you can see the line the bow creates. Or else the bow comes up over the top of your trousers and you give people a show. Oh dear... So pretty though.

Try Susan Hunter in the Westbury Mall (just off Grafton St). She stocks a small range but they all look great and you'll get to actually see the stuff before you buy.

Elle McPherson does a gorgeous range called Intimates. Go to BTs

i agree with the suggestion for Susan Hunter though the range is small. Also there is a really great brand called Rigby and Peller. They make corsets for the queen. The brand is available on their website and a small selection is available in House of Fraser in Dundrum. They have really beautifully items, not whorish. They also carry a large selection of sizes. Though prices start at 110euro for bras and i think 30euro for briefs, it varies by selection.

La Senza has some lovely stuff but even Ann Summers can have some sexy, yet tasteful bits and pieces.

    I can't see how that's a problem
