Ghost animals

Hi, A quick question I'd like to pose if I may. Is it common for the ghosts of people to be accompanied by an animal, and does this have any significance? Specifically in this case, the animal in question that accompanied the spirit/ghost was a dog. any info would be appreciated.

Common? I dunno. The only time Ive been aware of animals in this way is as a means of confirmation to the recipient by 'whoever' is communicating. As in: Youd see/be aware of an animal as part of the information coming thru, same as names, details etc. Not like "I have a dog here who wants to bark that he misses you".:) Hope makes sense.

(In case not clear....Am referring to mediumship, rather than seeing a ghost....someone else will have to reply on that.)
