Doing a Bapco Sysmark evaluation of a PC.

In general if I use a single 512MB Dimm will it be faster (give a better score) or slower than 2 single 256MB Dimms everything else being equal ?

Trying to settle a bet so a link to an official reference would be helpfull.

    Thanks

    Is it DDR or SDRAM?

Seems it's a dual channel SDRAM system - looking at the specs .. are we talking much performance gain ??

Not an enormous amount, but you /will/ get better performance if you've got two matched modules

Dual channel is definitely better. Definitely. A quick google of single v's dual channel should turn that up.
