    Hi folks,

I need help big time,at the weekend i bought "the complete U2" album from itunes for 150 euro(408 songs). They play grand on my ipod video, but when i burn them to a cd and play them in my cd player they will not play. The songs format are something called "m4a" and not mp3.When i try to convert them to mp3 using imtoo it fails to convert(I am using registered version not a trial 1)

I think they are protected or something i dont know, but i dont fancy losing 150 euro's worth of songs!!!

Does anyone know how to convert all these files to mp3 so i can play them in a cd player or with media player. If i had of known when i was buying they would be in this fromat i wouldnt of bothered. They are 1.9 GB in size.

Please help someone,I dont have a clue!!!

Any help would be great lads.

Yes, they are all protected files. I fell into this trap when I signed up for iTunes recently too.

Anywho, as previous poster pointed out, google to see if you can find a converter, or (please don't kill me for suggesting this :o )...

...burn them all to Audio CD's and then rip them back in as mp3's. It works but it's a long-ass way of doing things.:D

TBH, if you are anyway unsure, this method is the best for getting them back into mp3 (and the most legal :)).

If you don't want to waste CD-R's, use CD-RW's instead, but just make sure to burn them as Audio CD's.
