I was looking at one of these but on looking into the whole HDTV thing i am now more confused than ever.I have looked around on here but i just dont get it .The questions i have are as follows .
1920 by 1080 resolution costs about 3700 euros should i wait till these are sub 2k and buy then or will the lower resolutions be just as good.ie the sony in the title.
I want the TV for HDTV from Sky ,when ever that arrives and more than likely the ps3.But for probably the next year i would be just watching normal sky and DVDs on a crappy 50 euro player.
I am not in a huge hurry but i could spend between 1500 to 2000 euro on a TV.The main thing is i would like to have the tv for the 6 or seven years and dont want to rush in and buy the wrong one. ie do i wait for the higher resolutions to become cheaper

well tbh 1080 HDTV is not going to make a difference on a 32in screen as i feel its not big enough for it, it will still take 1080 lines but be converted to 720.

If your going to use skys HDTV service look for the HD ready logo, you will be safe as europe is going towards 720p and sky will use this.

If your going for higher res, id say go for a bigger screen 42" onwards as thats where 1080 will show in all its glory.

My feeling is for example a 720p projector to a 100" screen would show so much, but replace that projector with a 1080i/p projector and it will look way better
