Stripey Jumpers. Cool or Not?

ive got two. i love em but i always get abuse of my mates. i have a black and white one that im quite fond of so im now known among some as the Hamburgler

i love the long stripy jumpers if theyre in cool colours, i hate the black and white ones though (sorry judas) they jus too 'trendy' looking-theyre everywhere!
i saw a polish girl being interviewed on the afternoon show yday who was wearing the cutest one ever though-i really want it!

Apparently they are on the way out, the black and white ones anyway. Read it in two separate fashion mags. Well thats the last time I follow fashion. I've only worn mine 3 or 4 times. :rolleyes:

Ah I love them , I had one before they were ''fashionable'' and got called Happy Days by a few people , then 2 or 3 weeks later everybody is wearing them :rolleyes:

I still think their cool though , their girly but not overly girly , perfect for someone like me

So many people are wearing them these days, they are everywhere...it used to be my more gothy friends only but now they are everywhere.
Depends on the person for me but you know those stripy things girls wear on their arms, thumb goes through a hole in it and it goes partway up the arm, they are the stuff of dreams!mmm.

I love them I'm glad they're all "in" at the mo' cause it's just makin' it easier to buy them, before it used to be hard to get them, I love them anyway, even if they go out of fashion I'll still love them!

If you have big boobs, and by that I mean a C cup or bigger then I think stripes are a big no no, which is a shame, because I do like them, but have a big chest ans they look slightly ridiculous on me, because they make you look even BIGGER!

Also, and I am nt being cruel here, as I am no kate moss myself, but if your a size 14 or more, no no no, they make you look even fatter!

indeed it is, horizontal stripes make you appear bigger than you really are.

Oh yeah, sorry, just assumed the OP was on about horizontal stripes, as they seem to be all the rage at the moment

I like the stripy jumpers that are in. They suit some people really well. I don't own one though, I'd be afraid that it would make me look bigger.

i like the long ones, but as sillysausage said stay away from them if youre slightly bigger. Saw a girl i know wearing a long black and grey striped jumper, with a black skirt, tights, boots, and long beads. It looked great on her as she is tall and slim

I only like the white and black stripy jumpers I don't own one yet but I seen them on a few people and think they look great. Especially really thin girls as at least it makes them look like they have a bit of meat on them in a flattering way.

I'm sure you could. Coz the dye won't affect the black part. Just check what type of material the jumper is and then if the dye is suitable for it.

Also, I remember a while back in Eager Beaver in TempleBar black and pink stripey jumpers. Think they had red and black, and green and black ones aswell.

Yup, they have them there. I have one in blue and black, one in green and black, and bought a purple and black one, a red and black one and a pink and black one as presents for people!!

They're kinda expensive though.

I love them. I have loads but my favourite one is a dark/light grey one.
I like stripy tops too have a pink and light grey one which suprisingly go with each other.

I have that one in grey and black and I really like it. I love these jumpers as they're warm if you wear a t-shirt under them but light enough to wear in warmer weather if you have a string top (or nothing) underneath.

I,ve always loved stripy tops..Open my wardrobe and you will find a whole selection..Its handy now that they are in fashion and can stock up but its annoying the way they are EVERYWHERE..It really kills stripes for me!
