Coin Counter to borrow, please?

I'm working with a charity face painting event around Ireland on St. Patricks Day and it would really help us to have a use of a coin counter (or two). Anyone know where we could pick one up for the day, please?

A clever friend suggested that we could use a digital scales if we're stuck and that's a great Plan B - but the best would be something that we don't have to separate coinage for.

Incidentally, the day will raise money to support the education of a couple of thousand children in Kenya and India, anyone looking for info just ask here.

    Thanks.

You can buy one on Power City for €25

It separates them, but doesn't count them.

Check your local church. They normally have one.

In some places(ive seen 1 in supervalue), there is machines that will count change and tur it into notes, they do charge a percentage of the money, but good for people who have change at home.

maybe if you could contact the people that own the machines in supermarkets, they might let you use it with no commission cos its for charity. i think they're called "eurocounter" or something similar. google it.

don't use these anyway, they charge a phenomenal commission. the other suggestions in the thread are good though...

They're some great suggestions - thanks!! I'll go in to the Spar near me to get the contact details from the coin counter and see if they're generous folk!!

Asking at a big church is a great idea too, cheers Hobbes. And then on another thread I found the name of a company in Dublin that sell them. So, I have some contacting to do!!

I'll be doing that; in the meantime if anyone reads this and has one I could borrow, I'd very gratefully accept.
