ffs knocked out by the chip leader, who if he had a clue, would not be playing any hands. Instead he calls me with QJ (sooted your honour). Playing hands now is the only way he could possibly not win a ticket. Sorry letting off steam.

Well played Mark and congrats on the ticket.

p.s. Any chance of revealing what you had in that crucial hand that nearly cost you dear on the final table?

The board had a 3 flush and a pair of sixes and you'd gone deep against a loose player for 70% of your stack but didn't call when he put you all-in on the river. I thought maybe you'd made a low flush but thought better of it at the end.

I had 2 pair (top pair 7 with bad kicker (5 I think) on the flop) but figured he made his straight draw on 5th Street. Shouldn't have got involved at all after the turn, but was certain I was behind on the river.

That guy was playing a lot of marginal hands but I'm surprised you tangled in that spot alright. Well in fairness you didn't compound the mistake and recovered very well "with a bit of the old ultra-aggressiveness" as Alex would say (if they were talking about poker in a clockwork orange that is..) ;)
