If you have any problems with sky but don't want to have to wait 30/40 mins for your call to be answered, I think i've uncovered a little loophole. Ring 00448705160160, this number is to buy prem plus games/season tickets but when you get through just spout your problem and you shouldn't be transferred. I think alot of the sky numbers lead to the same place but they just make sure certain numbers (the ones you order stuff on) are quickly answered. This little trick has worked for me twice now after I discovered there was very little wait times on the number.

Only one problem - the phone bill. 0870 numbers are expensive from WITHIN the UK, I don't want to know what you paid for the international call

afaik you're billed the same for that number as the suppossed "irish" number that sky gives us here but directs us to the same scottish call center as everyone else.

just select the option on the 0818 number to upgrade your channel package

Works a treat - no queue

Anything else selected like downgrade of a fault and you wait ages...

I always use option 2, "ifyou would like to get sky digital installed......"
    usually immediate answer!

who have free UK calls use 00-44-1506-431151 which is the direct dial without all the fiddley lo-call numbers.

Nice one Shane, that's handy to know. I wish there was a list somewhere of geographic numbers for all well known companies that have "fiddley lo-call numbers" for us UTV customers!

They are 35 cents a min from a landline to a 0870 number!
