I know this should be in Food, but im kinda in a rush! Does anyone know if any nice resturants in Sligo? Something not too expensive, casual food, preferably in the town but not too bothered.

Was thinking maybe a Chineese, or nice pub grub somewhere quiet

My personal favourite for Chinese food is "King's" in Wine Street, Car Park.

"Fiddler's Creek" do a mean steak.

But if you can venture outside of Sligo town, you can't beat "Yeat's Tavern" out in Drumcliffe!

There are plenty of nice places to eat in sligo town
"Fiddler's Creek" mentioned above and there is also "The Bistro". Nice food also does great pizzas

Yeats is fine if that's your thing.

Bianconni's on O'Connell street is probably one of the best casual Italian restaurants in Ireland. Worth a trip for the 4 cheese pizza alone.

Am a fan of The Bistro myself but a lot of people complain it's a bit pricey to sit down for a simple pizza or pasta dish. The Bistro TakeAway at the top of High Street is very handy. Ranges from €10 - €13 for a pizza.

My tip: try the Aussie.... whipped egg in the centre of pizza sounds horrible but dear God, it's delish! :D

Yeats is definantly one of the best restaurants in the North West - without doubt!

Go north to Bundoran (I know it's not Sligo) to La Sabia (check spelling). Great place.
Yeats Tavern is to be avoided (IMHO). Gave up on the Waterfront in Rosses Point a few years ago after 3 bad experiences, but maybe the chef has left, might be OK now.
The Bistro take away in High St is good, alot better than the Main Bitro in O'Connell St...

Forgot to mention, Cavanaun (sometimes called Harrisons) in Cliffony on the Sligo Bundoran Rd do great pizzas...
