    Hi lads. Now that im a home owner what type of benefits/tax back am i able to apply for if any ?

    You get Mortgage Interest Relief at source. You need to provide your mortgage provider with your PPS number and I suspect some other paperwork. Look this up on www.revenue.ie and www.oasis.gov.ie

    You can also get a tax credit on your council service charges.

    When you sell, your profits are tax free.

    If you rent out a room(s) under the Rent-a-Room scheme, it is tax free up to about €7,600, but you must declare it.
