Best Day - Worst Day

As the number of posters increases, and the relevant experience decreases as new players come on board and are trying to find their way I thought it might be interesting if regular posters were willing to post their best day and more importantly, worst days' results so we could almost build a reference grid for players when they ask what you can expect to be up or down.

If enough people post we should get a reflection of where we are relative to other players in the same levels.

I'll start off...

Best Day $717 profit playing $30 STTs

Worst Day $467 loss playing $30 STTs

I don't play enough cash games to have a really good/bad day (certainly nothing more than a couple of hundred in a given day) and I'm not counting MTT wins as they are far and few between (for me anyway )

Post up your best/worst days, be it cash or STTs and MTTs if you want although I don't think they have a huge relevance for a daily record.

Worst. I'd have to agree with Roryc playing online everyday. But also losing a pot of over 800Euro me I had AA other guy tried to bluff with 3 6 flop came K 10 6 turn K river 6.

I don't think MTTs should be included at all, if possible. For a lot of us our best day will be when we got a big result in a MTT, and for me at least, my worst day was when I bought into an MTT and didn't make the money. I will look up my STT / cash figures when I get home to my poker spreadsheet tonight. I can say for certain both days were when I was playing Stars six-seater €35+3 STTs exclusively.

Best day MTT.....2nd Irish Open 2004 40K (qualified for this the day before in a STT was playing holdem for five months, but in the 2nd hand of the main event I was allin my QQ v KK...he flopped a set of Kings but I hit runner runner diamond for a flush..... )

Worst day MTT....having to pull out of Dublin EPT having qualified in the Merrion due to a bad month in cash (the way i looked at it was 250 players, 25th pos probably being paid their entry fee back 4K, so if I took the cash and ran I had already beaten 220 players and 4K was about 25 $200 buyins for cash games....disgusting descision and I felt as if I had sold me soul to the devil for doing it but such is life)

Best online cash day.....$200 buy in $1-$2.....finished with $2400 15 hour session on one table......ive won more than this in a day playing cash at higher levels and multi-tabling, but to gather 12 times the max buyin from a cash game is very rare.....
Worst online cash day.....prob about $1000...

Best offline cash day.....200 euro buy in in the Merrion, round of each, came out with 3K (this was hilarious first time playing omaha, and was only playing holdem for about a month, hadnt a clue what i was doing and remember one hand when I called 450 euro on the turn and the only card that could help me was a black Ace, hot it and took a pot of approx 1.5K)

Worst offline cash day....ive actually been quite lucky with offline cash games, in the past ive been in for 7 or 8 hundred in the fitz but have always managed to come out evens give or take a hundred quid...but my worst was about two weeks ago after the SE monthly 300 MTT. When down to 10 players I was 2nd in chips at out table and still managed to bubble getting half my cash back 150 euro....I had another 500 in my wallet and somehow managed to lose 650 Euro on complete tilt in just over an hour......

remember its all about skill....christ im so bored.....

Worst Online MTT: -200$ not one cash from 8/9 games and a little tilt in a 10$ rebuy!
Worst Offline Cash: -200€ playing 4/8 Limit Holdem
Worst Offline MTT: -125€ 30€ 7-stud rebuy - similar losses in NL Holdem/LImit Holdem/PL Omaha games - it's been my max spend in live MTT's to date.
Best Online Cash: +280$ playing .25/.5 PL Omaha :eek:
Best Online MTT: 2900$ approx - 5$ PPP special tournament
Best Offline Cash: +250€ - 4/8 7-stud
Best Offline tournament: +536€ profit - Joint first with one other player

My best day is pretty meagre by most standards but winning the Fitz €100 on a monday night was a major high for me. Up to then I had made alot of final tables but never crossed the line before.
Worst had to be the first time I played the €270 games must be almost 2 years ago now when I raised with AA, another player went all-in I called and he turned over AJ. He hit a diamond flush with the J and I had an orange 25 chip left. I wanted to leave but I was moved upstairs. It was great arriving at the table with that 25 chip. Nice and humilliating.

My best day was winning around $4200 online multi-tabling $2/4 and 2 final table finishes in $20 rebuys. It involved playing really well, getting decent cards all day and having lunatics write me blank cheques. The one hand that sums up the day was when I called a raise with JTs and turned an ace high straight. I flat called the turn and to my disgust, the river brought a ten. My opponent bet $100 (about the pot) and I put him all-in for his remaining $550. He instantly called and mucked, happy days...

My worst day was losing $2500 or so playing $2/4 before I was ready for it. I started off with bad beats on two separate tables for my entire stack but gradually lost the head little by little and in the end, the majority of it was lost through silly play.

Best run in a cash game I had 14 max buyins playing 5-10 online, but I was in for almost half of it.

won 5.5k for 3rd in cryto 35k gtd freezeout.
won 2.5k for 2nd in crypto 15k gtd.
won $2k for 2nd in tribeca $200 freezeout (twice)

grrrrrrrr i never actually win anything.......

once did just over 3k on extreme tilt playing £2/5 cash and some fishy omaha.
(just after i lost in a big multi with AA, 2nd in chips near the money vs the chip leaders JJ). That day was a lesson.

Worst Day: Lost 10 high stake STTs in a row in one evening (50/50 200$ and 100$) most to bad beats...tilt is not pleasant when you string it across many STT's over hours..lol

I tend to stick to MTT's lately except when I have a gap or am knocked out early...IMO MTT's are more like sport than gambling - i love the anticipation before a tournament starts!...I stay away from cash games

chancing my arm at 5-10 nl on laddies with my whole bankroll of 1500, which had been worked up from 30e in 6 weeks ( those were the days) , ak second hand ace high flop 200 flop bet called 400 turn called 400 river called , by aq, i nearly doubled up and ran to the cashier. Phew !!!!! Never again....... Still by far the biggest pot ive played and only 2 months after opening my account.. Still havent learned my lesson about risking broll tough!!!!
