Hi, I was just wondering about dual purpose tickets...Namely DART and LUAS 7 day ticket for example..does such a ticket exist? (I know you can get dart/bus) ...and if so, where can I buy it and how much are they?

Also, how do they work? Is it 7 days from when you buy it, or 7 days from when you first use it?

    Thanks.

Yes it does exist and its €31:50

Its valid all stations within Balbriggan/Maynooth/Hazelhatch/Kilcoole

Available from all Luas ticket machines and all IE booking offices

Valid for 7 days from date of purchase

You won't find it on the IE or Luas website but further details

Thanks Mark...Actually I tried the machiene before, I cant remember the exact name of the button, but think it was "7 day tickets" or something, but it just came straight up Luas + Bus, insert money... but i never saw any for dart also...(it was rush hour in the morning, with big que behind me...didn't want to fiddle with the machiene for too long!! :D)

I'm on the Stephens Green - Sandyford line if that makes any difference...

So where would an IE booking office be? I pressume i cant buy it at my local station, do they have one in pearce? (only major station im ever around..)

The Luas ticket machine should show you the 7 day ticket but its clear to see the RPA are doing there best to prevent integrated ticketing.....

Any and I mean ANY manned IE station can issue the 7 day Luas + Rail. Do not take no for an answer the ticket exists, it has a price

Oh, and I've just done my maths...Over 5 days, this ticket will save me a whopping €0.25 a week!! :D Fantastic!

But still, I'll use the dart over the weekends too, and it's still handy to have in the morning, no queing ;)

But thanks a million for the help mark, I'll do that.

Is it possible to get a DART/RAIL/LUAS weekly ticket?

Nope, seems like a simple idea though, no technical reason why its not possible, you don't have to waste €30 million to get integrated ticketing its already here if the RPA got the act together

There is annual Bus/Rail/Luas ticket its €1,400 and tax relief is available on that

You can't buy a LUAS + Rail ticket from the LUAS ticket machines, only LUAS + Dublin Bus. Why not? Only God knows that answer! :D

Seems to explain why Howth Heuston works but why Heuston Howth doesn't, the very body in charge of integrated ticketing is knowingly blocking possible journeys
